<p><strong>Easy Red Roses with Tunisian Stitch</strong></p>
<p>Handmade crochet flowers bring a special charm to any project, and this easy red rose is a perfect example. Using a Tunisian-inspired stitch technique, you can create a beautifully textured spiral that naturally forms into a realistic rose. Whether you’re decorating accessories, making gifts, or simply enjoying a relaxing craft session, this project is both beginner-friendly and satisfying.</p>
<p><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-879" src="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Easy-Red-Roses-Tunisian-Stitch.jpg" alt="Easy Red Roses Tunisian Stitch" width="1000" height="2100" srcset="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Easy-Red-Roses-Tunisian-Stitch.jpg 1000w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Easy-Red-Roses-Tunisian-Stitch-143x300.jpg 143w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Easy-Red-Roses-Tunisian-Stitch-488x1024.jpg 488w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Easy-Red-Roses-Tunisian-Stitch-768x1613.jpg 768w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Easy-Red-Roses-Tunisian-Stitch-731x1536.jpg 731w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Easy-Red-Roses-Tunisian-Stitch-975x2048.jpg 975w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></p>

<p>Materials You’ll Need<br />
Red yarn (cotton or acrylic)<br />
Crochet hook (3–4 mm, depending on yarn weight)<br />
Green yarn for stem and leaves<br />
Yarn needle<br />
Scissors<br />
Step-by-Step Instructions</p>
<p><strong>1. Create the Foundation</strong><br />
Begin by chaining 45–60 stitches. The longer your chain, the fuller your rose will be.</p>
<p><strong>2. Add Texture</strong><br />
Work into each chain stitch using a textured technique:</p>
<p>For a simple version, crochet 3 double crochets into each stitch.<br />
For a more realistic rose, use puff or cluster stitches (several partial stitches worked together and closed at once).</p>
<p>This step is what creates the ruffled edge that will become your petals.</p>
<p><strong>3. Build the Strip</strong><br />
Continue working across the entire chain. You’ll notice the strip starting to curl on its own—that’s exactly what you want.</p>
<p><strong>4. Form the Rose</strong><br />
Once finished, roll the strip tightly from one end. Adjust the outer layers slightly to resemble petals. When you’re happy with the shape, sew the base securely with a yarn needle.</p>
<p><strong>5. Add Stem and Leaf</strong><br />
Switch to green yarn:</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-880" src="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Roses-Tunisian-Stitch.jpg" alt="Roses Tunisian Stitch" width="735" height="1102" srcset="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Roses-Tunisian-Stitch.jpg 735w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Roses-Tunisian-Stitch-200x300.jpg 200w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Roses-Tunisian-Stitch-683x1024.jpg 683w" sizes="(max-width: 735px) 100vw, 735px" /></p>

<p>These crochet roses are incredibly versatile. Attach them to hair clips, brooches, bags, or hats. Use them in home décor like wreaths or table settings, or combine several to create a stunning bouquet that never fades.</p>

<p>Crocheting flower motifs is one of the most satisfying ways to build your skills while creating something elegant and versatile. Whether you’re decorating garments, making coasters, or assembling a larger blanket, a delicate floral motif adds texture and charm to any project. If you’re new to crochet or looking to refine your technique, this guide will walk you through the essentials.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-874" src="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Learn-To-Crochet-Flower-Motif.jpg" alt="Learn To Crochet Flower Motif" width="736" height="1308" srcset="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Learn-To-Crochet-Flower-Motif.jpg 736w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Learn-To-Crochet-Flower-Motif-169x300.jpg 169w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Learn-To-Crochet-Flower-Motif-576x1024.jpg 576w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 736px) 100vw, 736px" /></p>

<p><strong>How to Crochet a Simple Flower Motif</strong></p>
<p>🧶 Materials<br />
Yarn (cotton or acrylic, light/medium weight)<br />
Crochet hook (size suited to your yarn, e.g., 3.5–5 mm)<br />
Scissors<br />
Yarn needle (for finishing)</p>
<p><strong>Step 1: Create the Center Ring</strong><br />
Make a magic ring (adjustable loop), or chain 4 and slip stitch into the first chain to form a loop.<br />
Chain 2 (counts as first stitch).<br />
Work 12 double crochets (dc) into the ring.<br />
Slip stitch to the top of the starting chain to join.</p>
<p><strong>Step 2: Form the Petal Base</strong></p>
<p>Chain 3.<br />
Skip 1 stitch, slip stitch into next stitch.<br />
Repeat from * around to create small loops (you should have ~6 loops).<br />
Slip stitch to join.</p>
<p><strong>Step 3: Create Petals</strong></p>
<p>Into each loop:</p>
<p>(Single crochet, half double crochet, 3 double crochets, half double crochet, single crochet)</p>
<p>Repeat in each loop to form full petals.</p>
<p><strong>Step 4: Finish</strong></p>
<p>Slip stitch to close.<br />
Cut yarn and pull through.<br />
Weave in ends using a yarn needle</p>

Round crochet flowers, in particular, are popular because of their symmetry and elegant layered look—just like the soft, petal-rich design.</p>

<p><strong>How Round Crochet Flowers Are Constructed</strong></p>
<p>Most round crochet flowers are made in layers:</p>
<p><strong>1. Center Ring</strong></p>
<p>You begin with a magic ring or a chain loop. This forms the middle of the flower.</p>
<p><strong>2. Base Round</strong></p>
<p>A set of stitches (usually single or double crochet) is worked into the ring to create a flat circle.</p>
<p><strong>3. Petal Foundation</strong></p>
<p>Chain spaces are added around the circle. These act as anchors for the petals.</p>
<p><strong>4. Petal Layer</strong></p>
<p>Petals are formed by working multiple stitches (like dc, hdc, or sc) into each chain space. This creates the rounded, layered effect.</p>
<p><strong>5. Optional Outer Layer</strong></p>
<p>Some patterns add a second round of petals or decorative edges for a fuller look—like the textured, overlapping petals</p>

<p>Crocheting flowers is one of the most rewarding and creative ways to use yarn, and few designs are as timeless as the red rose. Whether you’re making a handmade gift, decorating accessories, or simply practicing your crochet skills, an easy crochet rose pattern is a perfect project for beginners and experienced crafters alike.</p>
<p>🌹 Easy Crochet Rose Pattern<br />
🧶 Materials<br />
Red yarn (for petals)<br />
Green yarn (for leaves)<br />
Crochet hook (typically 3.5–4.5 mm)<br />
Scissors<br />
Yarn needle</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-807" src="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Red-Roses-Easy-Crochet-Pattern.jpg" alt="Red Roses Easy Crochet Pattern" width="1000" height="2100" srcset="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Red-Roses-Easy-Crochet-Pattern.jpg 1000w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Red-Roses-Easy-Crochet-Pattern-143x300.jpg 143w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Red-Roses-Easy-Crochet-Pattern-488x1024.jpg 488w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Red-Roses-Easy-Crochet-Pattern-768x1613.jpg 768w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Red-Roses-Easy-Crochet-Pattern-731x1536.jpg 731w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Red-Roses-Easy-Crochet-Pattern-975x2048.jpg 975w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></p>

<p><strong>Step 1: Make the Rose Strip (Petals)</strong></p>
<p>With red yarn:</p>
<p>Chain (ch) 51<br />
Row 1:<br />
Skip 1 chain, then in next stitch:<br />
(1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 single crochet)<br />
Skip 1 chain<br />
Repeat across<br />
→ This creates the petal wave pattern<br />
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.</p>
<p><strong>Step 2: Roll the Rose</strong><br />
Start from one end and roll the strip tightly to form a spiral.<br />
Adjust as you go so petals look layered.<br />
Use the yarn tail to sew the base securely.</p>
<p><strong>Step 3: Crochet Leaves</strong></p>
<p>With green yarn:</p>
<p>Make a magic ring<br />
Into the ring:<br />
(ch 2, 2 double crochet, ch 2, slip stitch) × 5<br />
→ This creates 5 small leaves<br />
Fasten off, leaving a tail.</p>
<p><strong>Step 4: Assemble</strong><br />
Sew or attach the leaf base to the bottom of the rose.<br />
Weave in all ends.</p>
<p>For the detail and correct instructions watch tutorial bellow:</p>

<p><strong>🌸 Crochet Amazing Flowers with Tunisian Stitch</strong></p>
<p>Crocheting flowers is a timeless craft, but using the Tunisian crochet stitch adds a unique texture and structure that makes your flowers look fuller, richer, and more realistic—just like the vibrant blue bouquet in your image.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-753" src="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Amazing-Flower-Tunisian-Stitch.jpg" alt="Crochet Amazing Flower Tunisian Stitch" width="1000" height="2100" srcset="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Amazing-Flower-Tunisian-Stitch.jpg 1000w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Amazing-Flower-Tunisian-Stitch-143x300.jpg 143w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Amazing-Flower-Tunisian-Stitch-488x1024.jpg 488w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Amazing-Flower-Tunisian-Stitch-768x1613.jpg 768w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Amazing-Flower-Tunisian-Stitch-731x1536.jpg 731w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Amazing-Flower-Tunisian-Stitch-975x2048.jpg 975w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /><br />
</p>
<p>What is Tunisian Crochet?</p>
<p>Tunisian crochet is a hybrid between knitting and traditional crochet. Instead of completing each stitch immediately, you:</p>
<p>Pick up loops across the row (forward pass)<br />
Then work them off (return pass)</p>
<p>This creates a dense, textured fabric—perfect for sculpted designs like flowers.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-747" src="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Amazing-Flowers-Tunisian-Stitch.jpg" alt="Amazing Flowers Tunisian Stitch" width="600" height="900" srcset="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Amazing-Flowers-Tunisian-Stitch.jpg 600w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Amazing-Flowers-Tunisian-Stitch-200x300.jpg 200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>

<p><strong>Simple Tunisian Flower Pattern (Beginner)</strong><br />
Step 1: Foundation<br />
Chain 20–30 stitches</p>
<p><strong>Step 2: Forward Pass</strong><br />
Insert hook into each chain<br />
Pull up a loop (keep all loops on hook)</p>
<p><strong>Step 3: Return Pass</strong><br />
Yarn over, pull through 2 loops at a time</p>
<p><strong>Step 4: Create Petal Texture</strong><br />
Work a combination of:<br />
Tunisian simple stitch (TSS)<br />
Chain spaces<br />
Increase stitches at intervals</p>
<p><strong>Step 5: Shape the Flower</strong><br />
Add scallops or loops on one edge<br />
Roll the strip tightly from one end<br />
Sew the base to secure</p>

<p>Crocheting flowers is one of the most relaxing and rewarding projects for beginners and experienced crafters alike. A crochet sunflower with petals and a pearl center is especially beautiful because it combines the warmth of the sunflower with the elegance of a pearl accent. These decorative flowers can be used for hair accessories, brooches, bags, home décor, or even as appliqués on clothing.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-659" src="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Sunflower-With-Petals-and-Pearl.jpg" alt="Crochet Sunflower With Petals and Pearl" width="1000" height="2100" srcset="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Sunflower-With-Petals-and-Pearl.jpg 1000w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Sunflower-With-Petals-and-Pearl-143x300.jpg 143w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Sunflower-With-Petals-and-Pearl-488x1024.jpg 488w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Sunflower-With-Petals-and-Pearl-768x1613.jpg 768w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Sunflower-With-Petals-and-Pearl-731x1536.jpg 731w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Crochet-Sunflower-With-Petals-and-Pearl-975x2048.jpg 975w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></p>

<p><strong>Basic Steps to Make the Sunflower</strong></p>
<p><strong>1. Crochet the Center</strong></p>
<p>Start with brown yarn and create a magic ring. Work several single crochet stitches into the ring and pull it tight to form a small circle. Continue with another round if you want a thicker center.</p>
<p><strong>2. Create the Petals</strong></p>
<p>Switch to yellow yarn. Work chains and double crochet stitches around the center to form petals. Each petal usually consists of a small pattern like:</p>
<p>Chain 2–3</p>
<p>2–3 double crochet stitches</p>
<p>Chain 2 and slip stitch</p>
<p>Repeat this around the circle to create a full ring of petals.</p>
<p><strong>3. Shape the Flower</strong></p>
<p>Once the petals are complete, fasten off the yarn and weave in the ends. Gently shape the petals so they spread evenly around the center.</p>
<p><strong>4. Add the Pearl</strong></p>
<p>Sew a pearl bead in the middle of the sunflower using a needle and thread. Make sure it is secure because it will become the centerpiece of the design.</p>

<p>Crocheting red roses is a timeless way to add elegance and romance to handmade projects. Whether you’re embellishing a hat, creating a bouquet that never fades, or decorating for a special occasion, crochet red roses are versatile, beautiful, and surprisingly simple to make.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-652" src="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Easy-Red-Roses-Crochet-Pattern.jpg" alt="Easy Red Roses Crochet Pattern" width="1000" height="2100" srcset="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Easy-Red-Roses-Crochet-Pattern.jpg 1000w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Easy-Red-Roses-Crochet-Pattern-143x300.jpg 143w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Easy-Red-Roses-Crochet-Pattern-488x1024.jpg 488w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Easy-Red-Roses-Crochet-Pattern-768x1613.jpg 768w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Easy-Red-Roses-Crochet-Pattern-731x1536.jpg 731w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Easy-Red-Roses-Crochet-Pattern-975x2048.jpg 975w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></p>

<p><strong>🌹 Basic Crochet Red Rose Pattern (Beginner-Friendly)</strong></p>
<p>Here’s a simple rolled rose pattern:</p>
<p><strong>Step 1: Create the Foundation Chain</strong></p>
<p>Chain 41 (or any multiple depending on how full you want your rose).</p>
<p><strong>Step 2: First Row</strong></p>
<p>In the 2nd chain from hook, work:</p>
<p>1 single crochet</p>
<p>1 half double crochet</p>
<p>3 double crochets in next stitch</p>
<p>Repeat a pattern of:</p>
<p>1 single crochet</p>
<p>1 half double crochet</p>
<p>3–5 double crochets</p>
<p>This creates the petal shape.</p>
<p><strong>Step 3: Roll the Rose</strong></p>
<p>Once finished, fasten off leaving a long tail.<br />
Roll the strip tightly from one end to form the rose shape.</p>
<p><strong>Step 4: Secure</strong></p>
<p>Use the yarn tail and needle to stitch through the base to secure the shape.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-653" src="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Red-Roses-Crochet-Pattern.jpg" alt="Red Roses Crochet Pattern" width="735" height="1102" srcset="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Red-Roses-Crochet-Pattern.jpg 735w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Red-Roses-Crochet-Pattern-200x300.jpg 200w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Red-Roses-Crochet-Pattern-683x1024.jpg 683w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 735px) 100vw, 735px" /></p>

<p>Crochet roses are popular because they:</p>
<p>🌺 Never wilt – perfect for keepsakes and gifts</p>
<p>🧶 Use small amounts of yarn – ideal for scrap projects</p>
<p>🎁 Make meaningful handmade gifts</p>
<p>🏡 Add charm to home décor, clothing, and accessories</p>
<p>From Valentine’s Day gifts to wedding decorations, red crochet roses symbolize love, passion, and appreciation.</p>

<p><strong>How to Crochet a Puff Flower (Beginner-Friendly Pattern)</strong></p>
<p>The puff flower is one of the most beautiful and versatile crochet motifs. With its soft, raised petals and simple construction, it’s perfect for blankets, bags, hats, hair clips, and appliqués.</p>
<p>This step-by-step guide will walk you through creating a classic 5-petal puff flower, even if you&#8217;re a confident beginner.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-638" src="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Puff-Flower-Crochet-Patterns.jpg" alt="Puff Flower Crochet Patterns" width="1000" height="2100" srcset="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Puff-Flower-Crochet-Patterns.jpg 1000w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Puff-Flower-Crochet-Patterns-143x300.jpg 143w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Puff-Flower-Crochet-Patterns-488x1024.jpg 488w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Puff-Flower-Crochet-Patterns-768x1613.jpg 768w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Puff-Flower-Crochet-Patterns-731x1536.jpg 731w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Puff-Flower-Crochet-Patterns-975x2048.jpg 975w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /><br />
</p>
<p>What Is a Puff Stitch?</p>
<p>A puff stitch is a textured stitch made by pulling up multiple loops in the same stitch and then closing them together. In this flower pattern, each petal is created using a puff stitch cluster.</p>
<p>The result? Thick, plush petals that pop beautifully from the center.</p>
<p><strong>Puff Flower Pattern (5 Petals)</strong><br />
Step 1: Create the Center</p>
<p>With center color, ch 4.</p>
<p>Join with sl st to form a ring.</p>
<p>OR use a magic ring if you prefer.</p>
<p>Ch 1.</p>
<p>Work 10 sc into the ring.</p>
<p>Join with sl st.</p>
<p>Fasten off and change to petal color.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-639" src="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Puff-Flower-.jpg" alt="Puff Flower" width="735" height="1102" srcset="https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Puff-Flower-.jpg 735w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Puff-Flower--200x300.jpg 200w, https://ilove-crochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Puff-Flower--683x1024.jpg 683w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 735px) 100vw, 735px" /><br />
</p>
<p><strong>Step 2: Create the Petals</strong></p>
<p>Join petal color in any stitch.</p>
<p>For each petal:</p>
<p>Ch 2.</p>
<p>Yarn over, insert hook into same stitch, pull up a loop.</p>
<p>Repeat yarn over and pull up a loop 3 more times (you should have multiple loops on hook).</p>
<p>Yarn over and pull through all loops.</p>
<p>Ch 2.</p>
<p>Sl st into same stitch.</p>
<p>Repeat in next stitch around to create 5 petals total.</p>
<p>Fasten off and weave in ends.</p>
