How to Crochet a Puff Flower (Beginner-Friendly Pattern)
The puff flower is one of the most beautiful and versatile crochet motifs. With its soft, raised petals and simple construction, it’s perfect for blankets, bags, hats, hair clips, and appliqués.
This step-by-step guide will walk you through creating a classic 5-petal puff flower, even if you’re a confident beginner.

What Is a Puff Stitch?
A puff stitch is a textured stitch made by pulling up multiple loops in the same stitch and then closing them together. In this flower pattern, each petal is created using a puff stitch cluster.
The result? Thick, plush petals that pop beautifully from the center.
